I have a new wake-up CD.
Yeah, I know. Gripping news, I'm sure. Still, it's important to me, dammit, because Stratovarius actually seems to work earlier on in the CD (a lesson learnt!)
1. Stratovarius - Maniac Dance. The single from their newest self-titled album, this song starts off with a very geeky techno beat, and is a great opener.
2. Manowar - King of Kings. If Manowar isn't enough to make me get the fercuck out of bed just to turn the CD off, nothing is.
3. Freedom Call - Far Away. New Freedom Call album. This is to alleviate the stress of Manowar if I wake up really late into the 2nd track.
4. Ensiferum - Lai Lai Hei. This song is awesome. And foreign. Foreign languages help.
5. Dragonforce - Lost Souls in Endless Time. It's a bonus track. It has a really slow opening riff which helps with the "actually waking up" thing, maybe.
6. Sonata Arctica - Paid in Full. New Sonata Arctica album! Aaawesome. That said, this is kinda out of place. It's just really loud keyboards/guitars.
7. Skyclad - Thinking Allowed?. It's loud, it's short, it's fast, it's folk metal.
8. Poison - Shooting Star. It has a soft/sing along kinda chorus, and it's the start of some calmer songs in case I don't feel like standing up.
9. Stan Bush - Total Surrender. Like the song before it, it's slower than the pace of the rest of the CD, and besides, it's hilarious enough to have me on the floor laughing my ass off with luck.
10. Apocalyptica - Path, vol. 2. Cello for the win. Cello metal, even. Seriously. Loooooooooooooooooooooove.
11. Poets of the Fall - Carnival of Rust. This song is awesome, and all, but if I were to change another thing, I'd put something a little faster in, this is SUPER slow.
12. Edguy - Fucking with Fire (Hair Force One) I'd create a synopsis of this, but instead, I'm just going to lead off with the words.
