Marvelous news, the terrorists have been prevented from interfering with BA flights by the simple expedient of cancelling the flights!

Um, doesn't this mean the terrorists have won?

The terrorists want to create fear and disruption. So, yep. Seems to be working.

Of course, Bush said something along the lines of them being jealous of our freedom. I guess that's why the US government is so keen to remove it.

The next time there is a major incident, I'll bet they don't use hijacked planes. The only reason the September 11th attacks worked was that most previous hijackings were relatively peaceful. Knowing the risks, any attempt these days is very likely to result in the hijackers being overpowered.
