Grief is a Gift

Grief is like alcohol, it will affect people physiologically in similar ways, but how it’s expressed varies from person to person and their psychological profile.

I recognize that I’m in mourning for my mother who is currently being kept alive by machines. It’s to me to fly over there and release her. And I’m working on that.

I went through the same kind of thing. I couldn't stop until things were taken care of and even then...it scared the crap of me because I was afraid that when I DID stop and let it consume me --- it would consume me.

Grief really controls us in the way it wants to. We just have to allow it to. When we give in , we are healthy.

Yup. :(

I was likening it earlier to having a low-grade flu. It's tiring.

My condolences on your mother, and best wishes for getting through this with a modicum of ease.
