Title: "Regional strips 02: Magical Sicilia"
Author: J.J.
Warning: I might have failed in portraying correctly the regions involved. If that's the case just tell me. Those were done out of love for the Italian regions, not with the intent to offend someone.
Notes: After drawing the characterization for the Italian regions I ended up having ideas for them and drawing LOT of strips about them so... here there's one. It's nowhere near to the APH standards but well, I'm not Himaruya-san...
Characters: Sicilia (Rosalia Vargas), South Italy Romano (Lovino Vargas), France (Francis Bonnefoy) & England (Arthur Kirkland).
Time: Modern time.
Disclaimer: "Axis Powers Hetalia" belongs to Himaruya Hidekaz.
Hey, do I own something here? Oh yes, I own the plot and a sensible heart which would surely break if you give me harsh reviews... so please be honest but nice ok? Oh and the representation of the Italian regions are mine as well
Summary: The secret behind the beauty of Sicilia's house.

What inspired this

During a holiday in Sicilia I went to a trip around the place with a huge group of French tourists and they were amazed by Sicilia's fields... and by how no one seemed to work in them so the guide had to explain them that due to the hotness of the sun field work wasn't done during the hottest hours of the day.

In my headcanon though, Sicilia is a girl and she didn't feel like explaining to France, to whom she held an historical grudge, how hard she has to work to get such beautiful cultivations so... she tosses in the 'magic' story... getting England interested of course... and if you don't know in the past England would have loved to own Sicilia and showed quite an interest in her.
Note that Sicilia has ties with Ancient Greece and metamorphosis was a magic rather popular in Ancient Greece's myths.
Oh, and Romano and Sicilia have strong ties as Sicilia's city Palermo for a while was the capital of south Italy and South Italy was called, due to this, first the Kingdom of Sicily and then the Kingdom of the 2 Sicilies (long story...).
LOL, Sicilia is such a popular girl... though she shows little interest in the guys courting her...

Sicilia's proverb of the day

Cu li fimmini mancu lu diavulu ci potti.
Con le donne non potè neanche il diavolo.
Not even the Devil can win against women.

Marcella Bella - Sicilia Antica

An old song (1973) about Sicilia, sung by a Sicilian singer in Sicilian language.
