OFFICIAL PROMPTS + FIC REQUIREMENTS LIST

Oct 01, 2010 23:55

Before we send out all the assignments, here is a fairly comprehensive list of the prompts we'll be tackling for this round of ficgames. Stew on them for a while, and try to pick a two or three or ten that you'd like to trade around with your teammates.

Pairing/character requirements + guidelines for those are included in this post, as well!

PROMPTS.

How this works: In February, stories will be posted anonymously and in the order of the prompts listed here. Every team must use all ten prompts. Each story must use a different prompt; that is, two stories from the same team may not share one prompt. Usage of the prompt is all up to the writer. You can tuck it in a corner or make a universal-theory out of it. Just remember that you'll be graded on how well you use your prompt!

here are your prompts--

#1 Hot like Mexico, rejoice.

#2 Living in the sky with diamonds.

#3 The answer is dreams.

#4 "My scar is from a polar bear, my curse is from a witch,
I’ve caught a giant squid in all the seven seas."

#5 A man can be destroyed, but not defeated.

#6 Am I bright enough to shine in your spaces?

#7 Had we but world enough, and time.

#8 France-killing cat

#9 SCENERY PORN

#10 this umbrella

Bonus prompts (if you want to be extra-cool, you can choose one from below to use with your first prompt):

#11 Nocturne in E-Flat Major

#12 The 13th Anthology - Drammatica

#13 Gay or European

PAIR/CHARACTER REQUIREMENTS.

How it works: More mix-and-match pick-and-choosing! Teams must include at least one of these pairing/characters in fic. Wildcard denotes a rarepair or one that is not mentioned in the list.

(a fic with significant amount of ______)

a) USUK and/or FrUK
b) Spamano and/or GerIta
c) centric with either Turkey, Canada, Spain, China, Sweden or Holland (pick one or more, with pairings or without)
d) GIRL COUNTRIES (not nyotalia)
e) Nordic and/or Baltic-centric
f) Asia and/or Mediterranean-centric
g) Europe and/or Americas-centric

for each team:

*if one writer decides to include (significantly) more than one pairing/character, then a fellow teammate may wildcard, instead; the first fic will count for both categories
*wildcards may be gen/pairingless/crack
*wildcards may not concentrate on pairings that are already on the list have already made significant appearance/focus in another story
*an "area-centric" (ex. Baltic-centric) requirement need not include all the characters from that area; one pairing or character is sufficient.

Please have fun! =D
