Swallowing, America looked around nervously.
But it didn’t look like anyone was going to intervene anytime soon and as a matter of fact, more than a few countries seemed rather pleased by the turn of events.
England seemed especially satisfied with how Germany was yelling at him.
And-
“AMERICA!”
Oh, snap.
A gloved hand roughly reached out to grab his head and jerk it back forward, forcing him to meet Germany’s icy gaze once more.
America swore he could hear Canada snickering nearby. He made a mental note to kick his brother’s ass as soon as this was over with.
If this was ever going to end because Germany seemed awfully riled up.
Though he couldn’t recall what he had done to warrant such anger to be directed at him.
Sighing, he impatiently tapped his fingers against the table, wishing Germany would hurry up and finish because he had places to be and presentations to present.
His was especially awesome this year and Germany yelling at him was already cutting into the time allotted to him for his speech.
At this rate, they would never finish their meeting on time!
And here Germany had been yelling at him for being rude.
So what if he fell asleep during China’s presentation and began to snore loudly as Austria began his? So what if he passed notes back and forth to England as Canada spoke? So what if he refused to sit still and asked pointless questions that had nothing to do with the topic being presented?
It was all in good fun. Obviously Germany didn’t see it that way and he finally had it when America began to blow spit wads at Russia. He accidentally missed and ended up hitting Germany in face.
Thus, here he was, being yelled at for being so childish and stupid and…
Frowning, America wondered why he was even putting up with this anymore.
It was then that America decided drastic measures were in order and so he boldly stood up, catching Germany by surprise which was quickly being overrun by rage.
And so America intervened on his own behalf before the situation got worse by grabbing Germany by the front of the shirt and kissing him senselessly.
To say the least, it was like kissing a wall. A warm wall, yes, but a wall nevertheless.
He pulled away not too long after, a charming smile on his face as he patted Germany on the back in what he hoped was a comforting gesture.
“Glad we had this talk, buddy! At any rate, we should continue this conversation later because we’re getting even further behind schedule and…well, that would defeat the point you’re trying to make, yeah?”
To say the least, America hadn’t expected the punch.
But if there was any reconciliation in the fact that blood was dripping down his face as he stared dazedly at Germany, it was how embarrassed the German seemed.
