Who do you think is the smartest (overall) nation in Hetalia, and why?
And do you think they are smarter at different subjects? Like, Austria being a genius composer and N. Italy being a great painter, so they must be very creative and smart in that way? ...Am I making any sense?

Yeah ia it's been mentioned here a couple of times but even though he's so fail~ or whatever he's not stupid, he's a sneaky bastard but smart about it.

I like to think that Poland has totally crazy way of thinking and that's why he's good at solving some logical/mathematical problems and why he usually doesn't make any sense to anyone but himself. Not in a ~hidden genius~ way or anything, of course, more like he's way of thinking makes him good at this stuff.

Don't let Greece and France start talking about philosophy and the meaning of life in front of you. You're bound to be super depressed for 2 weeks because of how utterly stupid, uncultured and superficial they made you feel. Because they have thought about everything and their origins. Multiple times.
And you know, those moments where people say something in a single sentence and you go "damn, that's what I have thought for a long time but I never found the words to express myself!" ? In ten minutes, you have around 10 of those. They're just so damn intellectual you are left in awe, and everything you ever considered as smart is now ridiculous.

... Now I seriously want fic of all the nations voiceless and taking them a lot more seriously after having listened to their conversation.

I like French literature and philosophy for that reason. Currently loving Charles Baudelaire and Denis Diderot.

In mathematics USA, France and Russia have a lot of Fiedls Medals (UK is not bad either). Let's not forget Germany and all his mathematicians in the 19th century like Gauss.
