Past that fence is where crazy old Mrs. Oldifen lives. Sure, some say she's just a kind old grandma, a little nuts, like all old people... but people who say that probably haven't kicked a ball into her yard. Or heard from someone who has.

My brother Joey kicked his favorite ball - a brand new one, too, our mom gave it to him for his birthday - into her yard one day, during recess. He figured he'd just go on up there after school, ask her all nice and polite like... she couldn't be as bad as all the rumors said, right?
