part 76 is a hungry-hungry-hippo

Nov 06, 2009 00:06

Man, I loved Hungry Hungry Hippos as a kid. I once got a blister on my hand from playing it... I had to win that game. I'm on a toy nostalgia kick for some reason!

Enjoy part 76! :)

Alright, what is the matter with that "Slender Man"? Why is he dangerous? What precautions are to be taken?

And while I am at it... is there a Spain present? Or maybe an Austria? ... Or, um, a male France?

And why does he deserve to die, anyway? What did he do?

He kidnaps children? Alright, now that's a valid reason for going against him.

[takes notes, quickly]

Really tall... breaks into houses, a kidnapper.

Well, anon, I will try to seek him out and confront him with these accusations.

*glomps and hugs and doesn't let go* Germany, Germany, I don't know but I'm really really scared, you'll protect us won't you??

[just lets himself be clung to; there's no use in even trying]

Yes, of course I will. But it would be really helpful if I knew what I was protecting you from and how to do so.

I'm afraid I've no idea who this "Slender Man" is myself, though it's rather worrying how much of a disturbance he seems to cause.

Was there something you needed?

That's too bad. I hope someone will be able to provide me with information.

Ah, well...

[coughs, looks around]

I... you know how to dance, right?

I trust you'll share any findings with the rest of us? I should think most of this fear is not knowing exactly what is out there - primarily psychological, really.

Of course. Do you perhaps need assistance with a certain step?

I managed to gather some information by now; it's rather disturbing... apparently this entity is an exceptionally tall child kidnapper / abuser who breaks into unguarded houses. I'm going to investigate.

Actually... actually I'm afraid I would need assistance with the, um, basics.

[tugs on his sleeve ends in embarrassment]

[frowns] That does sound rather unpleasant. With the amount of child nations that seem to be running about (some of the anonymous are rather young as well, if I remember correctly?) that would certainly be cause for worry. I hope the situation is solved soon then.

Ah, is that so? You should consider yourself lucky there didn't happen to be a France about to 'offer' his help. I suppose I could help teach you, if you'd like. Do you have any idea which you'd like to learn first then?

I hope so, too. As if the vampire invasion hadn't been troublesome enough...

I only knew for sure that you and Spanien were good dancers and just... assumed it about Frankreich... isn't he?
I would be glad if you could teach me, but I don't know which dance would be best to start with. What kind would be practical to know at, say, a ball?

Oh, I'm sure he's a fine dancer. I've just never felt the desire to get close enough to find out.

Hm, I suppose a basic waltz would be useful enough. It's doesn't happen to be terribly difficult either, so perhaps that would be a logical place to start? A waltz is at its very core two smaller, lighter steps followed by one deeper one.

[demonstrates]

It's a fairly easy rhythm to establish.

[watches attentively]

Yes, a waltz sounds good... two light steps, one deep step... I think I would like to learn this. However can we start practicing at another time? Right now the hunt for the creature has priority, I am afraid.
