Hello, Russland. I don't believe we have met, right?

[extends his hand for Russia to shake]

Excuse me for being so blunt, but there's no use in dancing around the issue... are you communist?

why hello there BD russn_roulette November 27 2009, 00:57:13 UTC
[tilts his head, staring at the hand for a couple of moments. His eyes dart to Germany's face, then back to his hand. Smiles and grabs it, keeping it still.]

да, товарищ. (yes, comrade) Hello to you.

Why did he even hope? :D bake_einsamcake November 27 2009, 01:06:21 UTC
[shakes both their hands with a sincere expression, but surely Russia will not miss the short spark of misery in his eyes at hearing the answer to his question]

I... see. Still, welcome to the meme. Probably we will find a way to all get along despite our differences... I, for one, am more than willing to work on that.

Oh and the celebrations are Amerika's Thanksgiving festivities.

To know him is to love him..? :3 russn_roulette November 27 2009, 01:14:44 UTC
[tilts his head, his hand slumping into the other's - he does not really get it, but he surely notices the fleeting expression of misery in the other's eyes. He notices everything. Ah well, he is used to it as for some reason he does that to people. He keeps smiling because maybe that will help a little..?]

Is there a problem, Германия? (Germaniya) I would love to get along with you.

....ah, Америка.[decides to leave it at that simple comment - which speaks for a thousand words.]

The sad part is that *I* love Russia SO much, but my Germany only makes bad experiences! D: bake_einsamcake November 27 2009, 01:28:36 UTC
[immediately perks up as he sees Russia's genuine-looking smile linger - maybe this time there's hope?]

No, not directly; it's only that deplorably the two other communist Russlands I encountered wouldn't stop causing trouble on the meme and harming other nations as well as anons. -- But please don't believe that I would just lump you with them without getting to know you first. I'm not that unreasonable.

[looks up with an open expression, willing away his tiredness]

And maybe you are willing to give me the same chance. We might be able to build on that.

aw I know how you feel D: I treat you nice, da. russn_roulette November 27 2009, 01:36:32 UTC
How unfriendly of them.
[Wonders if they were trying to annex the other nations? He too, wants a big family. A big, happy family. A big, happy, willing family.]

I would love to get to know you, respectable Германия. The feeling is mutual. I, too, do not like to be too quick to judge - being the foremost victim of such a counterproductive attitude.

[still holding the hand, he squeezes it. How odd, even with the gloves it still feels warm. He likes warmth. A lot. The smile seems to be making Germany more comfortable - perhaps it is working?]

Waah, that's so cool! *_* bake_einsamcake November 27 2009, 01:53:42 UTC
[remembers how the other Russias abused Prussia / brainwashed Canada, several anons and himself / generally terrorized the population]

Yes, sadly we couldn't manage to gain any common ground for fruitful discussion. Maybe I should have tried harder, but it seemed rather hopeless to begin with.

[swallows, still slightly uncomfortable, but only because with their history and personal / cultural differences it's hard to create a relaxed atmosphere]

Thank you very much for that. I agree completely on how counterproductive overhasty judgement is; let us avoid this mistake from the beginning.

[smiles back with real confidence, not actually having expected his approach to be that successful]

For now this would be all from my side; I can only assure you once more of how glad I am for our cooperation. Is there anything else I might be able to help you with at the moment? Otherwise I'd say I'll be glad to see you around the meme.

[observes his reactions - he seems to be having a lot of distressing thoughts. He must have been given a rough time despite his attempts at diplomacy, yes. That saddens him greatly. People should be happy, if they are nice. He stares at him in silence for a good few minutes, only nodding slightly at his words. He opts for not commenting on their differences.]

...can I have a hug,Германия?

[apparently it is normal in some parts of Europe. That is nice, it's warm. It looks like Germany needs some warmth.]

Actually let me change that to "Thanks, mate!".... *cough* ;) bake_einsamcake November 27 2009, 02:20:12 UTC
[*of course the other Russias didn't both do all the stuff listed; that was a bit unclear there*]

[has been somewhat besides himself since one of the anons appeared to be worried sick about him and deemed him in a terrible condition earlier, but of course he's not intent on letting that show]

[is taken aback by Russia's sudden request]

A... a hug?

[hesitates for a second, but clearly this is not the trust needed to improve international relations, so he mans up, opens his arms and tentatively wraps them around Russia]

Of course.

you're very welcome <3 russn_roulette November 27 2009, 09:54:26 UTC
[notices the awkwardness in Germany's eyes and actions. Maybe it was the wrong thing to ask? His eyes widen a little as the other complies to his request, then he gives him a warm smile. The German is big, but not as much as himself - his arms don't quite reach his full diameter. He wraps his own around the other in turn, and begins patting his back a little awkwardly.]

It's ok,да?

[so warm. He likes this. He understands why many Europeans like doing this. He completely ignores the thought of America trying to pop up in his mind. He has no idea about the embarassment he is causing to the other, nor how awkward this may look.]

Edit for irritating formulation. orz bake_einsamcake November 28 2009, 00:43:28 UTC
[feels terribly awkward; tries to somehow make the hug feel professional and confident, but probably fails at that]

...

[begins to simultaneously feel more awkward and strangely comforted as Russia pats his back, but just as he is about to relax a little remembers how much work he still has to take care of and carefully lets go]

Ah... thank you once more, Russland. I have to leave now, but I am very much looking forward to our future interworking.

[gives him a small (if slightly strained) smile, nods politely and walks away]
