I'm here to apologize for my recent absence. I have no excuses for not attending to my duties here for the past few parts, and I hope you will all forgive me.

[Watches his face, interestedly; evens his weight to both feet, each just under Germany's shoulderblades. Eyes flicker to the hand, careful, ready to step off instantly if it makes the movement he'd specified.]

Thirty more seconds.

[relieved as the weight evens out, but manages to keep his breathing even throughout]

[closes his eyes, body tense and trembling as he begins to count the seconds in his head]

[Zehn... neun... acht...]

[Shifts one foot closer to the center of Germany's back, so that he may take the weight evenly when Austria has to step off.]

[Watches the hand]

Fünf. Vier.

[can't control breathing anymore but it's so close--begins panting heavily against the floor, his right hand curling into a fist]

[Steps carefully off and bends to look at Germany's face]

Roll over.

[stays on stomach, breathing in as much air as possible now that he's relieved of the weight, ears barely catching that Austria spoke at all]

[Rolls over, keeping his eyes closed and placing his hands on his stomach. It's actually easier to breathe this way. His brow furrows as Austria's comment refocuses him on what this is about.]

Do not cover your body. Pull your skirt up, so that I may see the tops of your thighs; do not... expose yourself.

[Nudges his riding crop closer to Ludwig's hip]

There is a crop to your left. Give it to me.

[blushes and pulls up his skirt as instructed, making sure to flatten it out even as he gathers it]

[glances down at the crop and then back up to Austria before picking it up gently and offering it up]

So obeisant. [Takes the crop gently and bends its tip]

Three, I think, to each leg, unless you ask for more. [Cannot imagine that you will]

[eyes never leave the crop as he nods slowly]

[feels slightly apprehensive about what could follow, but it still relaxed from his recovery from Austria's weight]

If you make any noise -- other than your safeword; remember it -- I will take it as a request for another stroke to that leg. They will increase in intensity.

[One slap to Germany's left thigh]

[gasps at that first stroke because Austria's words are still sinking in--bites his lip immediately hoping Austria didn't notice]

[keeps his eyes on the crop, afraid to lose it, afraid it will do something unexpected]
