part 123 silver spoons

Feb 05, 2010 14:59

TGIF~ too bad there's no good TGIF shows still on TV. Was Boy Meets World on on Fridays? I can't remember. Why am I rambling about unrelated things? I do not know. :P

Enjoy part 123!

Dancing Lesson 01 bake_einsamcake February 5 2010, 21:02:18 UTC
[knocks on the door of Austria's ballroom, somewhat exhausted after having hurried over to his house just in time]

Österreich? Are you here?

[is looking over some sheet music]

[Germany can wait for just a moment while Austria decides whether or not this ink stain merits rewriting the entire page]

[waits]

...

[knocks again]

Österreich? It's me. We have an appointment, do you remember?

[checks his watch - yes, the time is right]

[Concludes that it is not worth the time; who will be seeing this, after all, besides himself?]

[He tucks it into a large book full of its fellows, closes it, glances at the door, and makes his way toward it]

[pulling it open:] Deutschland. I do remember, thank you.

Oh, good, I started to think I might have come too early after all.

[takes his coat off and puts it over the back of a chair, turns back to Austria, cracks his shoulders nervously]

So, um, should we start right away or does one usually do some kind of warm-up first?

Not a moment too early. [walks back to his piano; makes sure that book fits neatly under another]

Only if you wish. Whatever we undertake today shall not be too strenuous. [makes his way to the record player]

Alright, then I think I'm ready!

[flexes a little, just to make sure]

[glances at the motion]

Very well. [settles a record into the phonograph and places the needle]

[A fairly rapid waltz begins almost immediately; he speaks over it]

How do you find this?

Oh man, I doubt he'll manage to get this right! bake_einsamcake February 5 2010, 21:55:37 UTC
I like it, but how do I dance to it? [/total impatience]

Won't you come over here and help me with the steps? I also need to learn how to coordinate myself with my partner, how do I do that... one hand at the waist and the other at the shoulder, right?

I'm going to search Youtube for a slower one that's still Beethoven reitgerte February 5 2010, 22:09:53 UTC
[lifts the needle from the record, sighing] Yes. The most basic element is the position. You must first learn to relax, however -- [his tone is pointed] -- and be patient. Do you think that you can manage this crucial step?

Don't stress yourself! Once he calms down and gets some assistance they might well work it out. bake_einsamcake February 5 2010, 22:19:03 UTC
[tries to consciously calm down a bit]

Yes, of course. Excuse me. My timetable was somewhat packed today.

All right; a fast waltz may be more amusing anyway reitgerte February 5 2010, 22:38:23 UTC
[does not care] Of course.

[walks, in the silence, to where Germany may find him a bit too close] Luckily for you, der Wiener Walzer is one of the easiest dances, and is quick to be learnt. However, before we begin, I will warn you; failure to follow my orders, sure as I am that you will unfailingly try, will result in punishment. Each foot you step on will earn you equal pain at my hands. Do you understand?

I'm listening to it on repeat, it really is a nice one bake_einsamcake February 5 2010, 22:46:40 UTC
[supposes that Austria knows what he's doing even though he maybe worded that a bit harshly]

Alright, I will do my best.

Shall we begin then?

[is by now somewhat more relaxed, gently puts his hands on Austria's waist and shoulder, awaits further instructions]

It'll do, then~ (also brb) reitgerte February 5 2010, 23:15:45 UTC

I don't know how much longer I can stay (my schedule got rearranged again); maybe another hour? bake_einsamcake February 5 2010, 23:28:59 UTC
[immediately goes chin up, chest out, shoulders squared, spine rigid]

[awaits further instructions]

All right reitgerte February 5 2010, 23:41:08 UTC
[annoyed noise] Relax. This involves your entire body; when I say to keep your chin up, I mean only your chin.
