part 144 lawn chairs covered by pink plastic wrap

Mar 26, 2010 00:01

Since we probably won't max before Saturday, haha... my prom was hilariously budget conscious.

ALSO umm I was browsing and someone wanted the div code posted right on this entry, could anyone make it so that I can have it show up like a "table" so it looks neater? Thanks!

Enjoy part 144! :)

[points over to the snack bar, already a little tipsy]

Over there!

[doesn't pay all that much attention; assumes him to be a namefag]

Thanks! [turns to head over, then looks back at him] ...Hey, who're you?

Deutschland!

...

And who are you?

"Dooy-schh..." uh... not even gonna try to pronounce that; sorry. You got a nickname or something?

And I'm the Mongol Empire!

Well, my brother calls me Westen, but that nickname's kind of reserved for him!

So you're a country too, that's... that's neat. [smiles a little vapidly] What year is it for you right now?

Oooh, I gotcha'. So what do I call you, then? ...And right now? Last I checked, 1240. Don't tell me you're one of those weird future-people, too!

Yes, I'm from the future too! It's 2010 for me! And maybe you can call me Germany? That's my, ah, slightly more international name.

Hm, you must have a pretty large house if I remember correctly...

"Chermany"? Hey, that works! Thanks. International stuff's what I'm all about. ...But my house? Dunno what you're talkin' about there. I live in a ger, same as my people do! Pretty big ger, though, yeah. As they come. ...One of the perks of livin' with my boss.

Really, in a ger! Now that's certainly... neat!

...

Is that, like, a tent?

wrath_ofkhan March 28 2010, 03:01:15 UTC
Cripes... and you call yourself "international"?

Okay, okay. Well, uh... it's like a tent, but way better. You got a wood framework, right? Like a lattice. And then you got a bunch of insulation, and then felt over the whole thing! There's a pole in the middle that holds it up, and a hole in the roof for smoke. Don't take no time at all to set up or take down, once you know how to do it!

What more'd anyone want in a home? That's what I say!

Of course I'm international! I'm in the G8 and the G20..!

[listens on; nods attentively after every sentence]

Yes, yes, I understand completely! That's really... really neat. You know, I bet I could also set up a good ger once you showed me how it's done!

Don't sound so international to me; sounds like a bunch of letters and numbers.

You really wanna learn how to set up a ger? Heh, guess I could teach you someday.

No, no, this is... really important politics!

But alright, let's just meet and set up a few gers sometime. However I'll have to check my schedule first; I don't have that many free hours, and my-- [blushes]-- my lady has the first claim to those!

...

[is embarrassed now; mentioning one's relationship is such a ~private~ thing after all]

Ah-- see you around, I guess!

Sure thing! Just look for the army sweepin' across Europe. We're kinda' hard to miss. Guess a couple extra hands around camp wouldn't hurt.

...Ooh, you got a wife? [nods] I get it, I get it. And sure-guess I'll be seein' you around, Chermany. Nice to meet'cha'.

Sorry for the delay ♥ bake_einsamcake March 28 2010, 03:55:40 UTC
An army sweeping across Europe? I guess I'll, um, keep my eyes open then... - oh wait, you guys are in 1240. Ah, anyway, we'll surely come across each other again sooner or later.

Until next time, Mongolien!
