Part 14 is Part 14

I really liked Part 13's maxing, didn't you? It felt very nice, like a lazy summer day. Everyone just laying on the grass outside, watching the clouds go by, talking about virginity and Canada. I loved reading all the "ask a ___ anon" threads, by the way. You guys are interesting. And weird. You should continue them since I'm sure some people got ( Read more... )

I'm jealous of you headcanon people. I never think about characters like that...which is probably why I can't write for crap.

Just gave this further up the page, but, France still does England's haircuts for him. :>

And uhhhh shit off the top of my head: every now and then he likes getting clothes from other centuries out of the closet and parading around in them.

Two things he's srs bsns about: cooking and painting.

He's an inveterate insomniac.

His numerous strikes give him something very like arthritis; in that case he lounges around in bed all day.

I'll be back if I think of more.

France enjoyed being a "single father"/big brother to Matthew so much that after he had to give him up he went over to bother Spain and Romano all the time.
I think he secretly loves spoiling little children with presents, like giving a little girl flowers and making her feel special. 'Cause he's suave like that.

He's terrified of huge bugs, to the point where he stands on a chair to avoid them.

...that's all I got for France, it seems.

France likes to watch.

No, really. He likes seeing what he's doing to people, whether physically or emotionally, by arguing with them or badtouching them. The reactions he elicits from different people are little works of art, and he'll bother someone again and again just to see all the nuances he can bring out in them. (And also because it's fun, but shh.) Something like one of his more flippant artists toying with their critics, I think--the interpretation is as much a part of the piece as the artwork itself.

On an unrelated note, he may or may not wear a beret when he thinks nobody's watching. He can't decide if it's been long enough yet for them to be ironic again.

Also a cunning bastard (although that's not really headcanon)

France is secretly much less of an airhead than he pretends to be. He just finds it's easier to deal with people by acting silly.

(It is not clear whether he copied this technique from N.Italy, or if N.Italy copied him.)

France feels extremely lonely at times. On one of the rare nights he's not out having fun, France would sit down on the couch with a bottle of wine and reminisc about the old days, desperately wishing to share a deeper bond with someone again.

France has tried to control Canada's curl before, but is continually frustrated over the fact that it won't stay down no matter what he's tried.

Despite appearances, he's actually quite the intellectual. And the part of his thoughts that aren't about sex are very deep indeed.

When France is disgusted by something, he bends his arms up and flicks his fingers against his shoulders in a 'shoo-ing' motion and frowns severely.

He loves children, but as a father, not.. as pedohpile.

He loves cute and beautiful things.

He got quite mad after the Revolution for a while, and I imagine him being sort of a psycho during the Napoleonic era. He conquered most of Europe, after all.

After the WWII he kind of got older, meaning he isn't really all about sex and getting naked everytime anymore. He got more mature, or at least he feels that youth has gone. Kind of depressed, maybe. But still acts silly and easygoing.

He's a housewife, likes to do the cleaning, cooking, and he has broad interest in many things, from chemistry for istance (many famous chemists are French) to gardening.
