Hah WOW.

So the new rules post for the kink meme was posted originally earlier (they have since deleted the 'uh you forgot to private lock it, mod2' comment) and someone then pointing out that they are inconsistent in their modding, aka, freezing one comment that said 'thanks for making us feel crappy' in regards to saying people OMG HAD to fill out stuff, but didn't freeze a comment saying OMG WAIT TILL PART 3 GOD DAMN IT.

When the post went back up, they had deleted that comment. I noticed so I commented asking why they deleted that comment. (They didn't address the issue of said inconsistencies in the new rules)

They then deleted my comment asking why they did this.

So much for owning up to things, right?

Okay, I take back my anon comment about being relieved and thanking them and using the phrase "owning up".

I thought the original was just deleted like mine for referencing the incomplete post.

Nope. (I made the original comment.) I didn't mention the incompleteness at all. I mentioned the inconsistent modding, and the "if people say 'this has been done before' they should provide a link." Which, while I'm glad that got addressed, the other thing didn't and there was no reason for them to delete the comment other than to save face.

Mine was the "Complete your sentences/hire new mods one", which also bit the dust. They addressed the latter in the post, so I figured they were taking it seriously maybe.

Actually, I take it back. I am uncomfortable with all crit being required to be screened, and the deletion of comments on the current modding. I know you don't want drama, but I want transparency.

Agree, especially on the deletion of comments on this post.

I'm uncomfortable with the crit/suggestions post being screened as well. If people have crit, everyone should be able to read and discuss it, not just the mods who can choose to ignore it as they please.

Thirded. The point of screening suggestions/crit in the first place is in large part to protect the identity of the one giving the suggestions/crit, which doesn't apply here since everything is anonymous. (Or should be.)

I really hate all of this weird stuff surrounding the kink meme now. I had so much fun filling for part 1, but after that? I dunno, I just started getting weird vibes.

I think it's partly the inconsistent modding and partly the fact that some questions just aren't getting answered to satisfaction, or answered at all. Mods need to communicate better if they want to keep their meme'ers happy.

they deleted the "OMG WAIT TILL PART 3 GOD DAMN IT" commented on page 41.

I can't remember which prompt it was in response to, but... for some reason I think they deleted the prompt as well? Can anyone remember?

I hate how the suggestions/crit post is screened. There's no reason for it to be screened, since anonymous posting is turned on.

If kink memes didn't have any sort of regulation, most of them would die fairly quickly. Kink memes aren't like anon memes, where a free for all sort of posting works out.

Dunno, about you, but I've been in kink memes that had no to little modding and they thrive just fine.
