It happened a long before Kalevala was written, but people just started to call me Väinämöinen. I guess they noticed that I was different from humans and thought that maybe I was a wizard like Väinämöinen. I got really used to it and eventually took it as a surname.

It's not really that interesting. It just... sort of happened, haha?

My headcanon is that Finland IS Väinämöinen
