[If he keeps poking around in rooms like that, he'll run into plenty of things. Lots of nonsense, rooms full of furniture fit for a giant or made of candy, or anything he could think of(or not think of.) Any large, double doors he stumbles upon lead to a library.]
[And eventually he runs into a Germany in one of those rooms, luckily one that didn't seem to be strange like the others, who'd been contently reading in solitude. Is a little startled when he hears the door open, not that he's doing anything suspicious!]
A-ah, Japan. Hello. [Gives him a nod in greeting.] . . .you look troubled. Is something the matter?
Ah. . .that. Yes, that's the truth! I-it's something like--believe me, you know none of us like to bring this up--well, r-remember last Christmas or, rather, the Christmas before. When the--the cat-eared Frances. . . . [Shudders thinking about it. Thinks that should be enough to remind you.] It's a little bit like then!
Of course it sounds suspicious! But it's the truth, as little sense as it makes! Ah. . .at first, it's rather difficult to tell them all apart, if you know enough of one person, but there are usually small differences--ones from different years dress or speak differently, some are younger or older than you're used to, some aren't nations at all. Unfortunately, you'll get used to it in time.
She makes a small curtsy back at him. She is not entirely sure what to do.
"Yes." She nods.
"This place is called headquarters. It randomly takes people from multiple universes and brings them here. Some of the rooms do strange things. There is no known way to leave."

Good evening, Italy-kun.
...Ah, this may be a strange question to ask you, but exactly where are we?

Oh, it's this weird place they call "headquarters"! I don't know what it's headquarters of, but there's free food!

[ but still bows to Italy in greeting ]
"Headquarters"? Is this a base of sorts?
[ "free food" sounds suspicious to him ... begins to become a bit nervous again ]

E-eto... is it true there's copies of everyone here?
Doesn't that sound suspicious? As if we're caught in a conspiracy by an enemy?

It all sounds like a lot to take in, but I will attempt to become used to it in time, as you say, Germany-san.
Eto, would you perhaps know something about a ... basement area that's supposedly here?
