Robin stood at one of the work tables in the machine shop, finishing up work on a project that had spanned several days. He wore a frown of concentration on his face, and one of the gray jumpsuits. Scattered around the work surface was evidence of his endeavors: several homemade contraptions (two of which would prove to be a voltmeter and an ammeter), bits of wiring, rolls of electrical tape, various tiny screws, a screwdriver, various odds and ends of metal, a soldering iron, and his partially-deconstructed T-communicator.
Using a tool from his utility belt, and with a look of supreme concentration, Robin was very carefully connecting some copper wiring to what looked like a small, metal comb.
