It had been a particularly colourful day in her realm. She was showing it to Barnabas, explaining its facets and wonders in a stream-of-consciousness narration that only she understood, when she took a wrong turn. The room she found herself in was bright but monochrome and sterile. It definitely wasn't any part of her realm.
"Oh," she said, taking the change in stride and turning a half-turn on the balls of her feet, looking at the empty room. She noticed as she turned that the leash she was holding was hanging loose, and the bounce went out of her step. "Barnabas? Hello?" Cautiously, as if she was sneaking up on it, she approached the intercom on the wall and pressed a button. This wasn't her realm, but maybe she'd ended up in her sister's my mistake. This place did seem... alone. "Despair?," she asked in a small, uncertain voice. The sound of her own voice echoing back through the colony brightened her mood, but when Despair failed to respond she went to have a look around instead, walking over to, and then through, the observation window.
