"Agreed," Sam said as she followed rapidly behind Robin. She paused to set up her first mass sensor a few hundred meters back, and was now quickly catching up with Robin. "I fear will takes an initial mass readings now and download them to my pad, and yet some preliminary readings. Then if the mass does look like it's increased enough to be the source of our problems leave the sensors out taking data overnight to get a sense for its rate of change."
((And this does take place before Sam's other thread. I was carefully neutral at least about whether or not another expedition had been made to Morpheus and what data might've been collected. So I suppose if the artifact does and up not being the cause that could be problematic. XD ))
"Right, okay, sounds good," Robin replied. "What do you need me to do? Set up the mass sensors the same way as last time? ...I could even stick 'em in the same holes..."
((I'mma not worry about waiting for James, since Sam and Robin are doing the Action Stuff in this thread. If he has stuff to say, he can pop in at any time.))
"That sounds good," Sam said as she stopped next to the artifact and set up her backpack. Pulling out two of the cylindrical mass detectors she handed them to Robin, then pulled out two more for herself. "Yeah let's put them in the same holes we used before."
Robin moved swiftly to the artifact, planting his two sensors in the holes that still remained in the ice and activating them. When he was done he stepped back from the strange object to avoid messing up the reading. "I'm ready when you are, Sam."
