"Why am I not surprised that you want to spend your time doing this?" Her voice came from the doorway and she watched him mess about with the wires. Hopefully he wasn't breaking something, but if he was, at least it was the entertainment system and not something actually important.

Hey look, one of said techno-incompetents. He glanced over at her, then back to where he was trying to rearrange the entertainment system to be a little more efficient, although at this point he was stalling since, as he'd quickly found, there wasn't much to do as it was all run through the Rec computer system. "So you came to do the same thing voluntarily? What the hell are you complaining about?"

She moved to get a better view of what he was doing, even if she really had no clue. Why the hell did it need all that wires and crap anyway? "Who said I was staying?"

"What, okay, so you just showed up to tell me you think being here is a waste of time? Wow, Tex, thanks, I really needed that. Real helpful." Deciding he'd finished fiddling with the video system, he pushed past her to get to the console and see if there was anything in particular he really wanted to watch right now.
