They look like they're continuous, except for the rearrangement and disappearance of the items on the floor to your left.

The door and wardrobe make it look like they were taken in a hotel room, which kind of adds to the haunting quality of them.

mm, yes, it does sort of have a hotel-room look. it's funny that i was rearranging the items on the floor -- i remember having an idea of setting a certain scene or haunting mood (there's one outtake with a cluster of bottles of ink in that spot on the floor), but the whole time it must not have occurred to me that the door, lightswitch, carpet, floorboard, etc were going to prevail.
