Long enough to lose track of what brought us together in the first place. It happens. The important thing is we're still very much in love.

I loathe and despise the dating phase. I mean, I look back quite fondly on the first couple of months that Art and I were dating, but I love the security and comfort that we give one another now, because our relationship is very strong.

I hate the "getting to know you" part.

People ask me if, after a few months or a year has passed, if I would rekindle things with my ex...to get that 'fresh start'.

It's not going to happen. I wanted the newness that you're experiencing but I never got it...heck, me and Dave never really dated, we were just kinda thrown with one another.

I think it's sweet that you and your wife feel so close after so long, I wish we were all so lucky.
