Just how big is 'big'?

Apparently Bean is 'big'.  The doctor didn't really elaborate on that, but I go for a final ultrasound next week to see just how big Bean is.  According to various sources, Bean should currently be about 4 1/2 lbs and approx 17 inches long.  Other than that, everything seems to be going well - good bloodwork, blood pressure, Bean's heartbeat and

Ok, I just have to tell you this post had me very puzzled until I re-read it and figured out who wrote it. Another LJ friend has a cat named Bean and it was very confusing on the first readthrough. 4 lbs is "big" for a cat??

So, now that's out of the way, glad to hear things are going well! :)
From what I've heard, those size estimates are often wrong. My friend had a kid just over 5 lbs and they had told her it was closer to 8 at the ultrasound.
