I don't think they will send ya to prison babe, no worries, if anything maybe they can give you a payment paln option...

aren't they suppose to be paying for your stuff anyways?

Yeah, I know, it's just a small claims thing. But still, it could totally fuck my credit.

You know... that's what I thought, but apparently it's just things that are in the health alliance. Since I got treatment at a separate establishment, I have to pay for it.

But, I have the money for it. No worries.

Don't worry you will not got to prison I am positive you were summoned to civil court. All civil court does is decide whether or not to award damages. Damages=money the only punishment civil court can give is punitive damages which means that they are making you pay money because u did something wrong. The only way you would goto prison is if you were arrested and officially charged with a crime and you were summoned to appear in criminal court. So don't worry! Also I should know because I am a criminal justice major.

yeah, it was a small claims court. None the less, I'm gonna pay them 3/4 of the money due before the court date, hoping that a payment plan can be settled out of court. Even though it's not a criminal court, it still goes on my record, and I don't want that.
