Radio Ginger, Episode 6, 9th November 2012

Nov 12, 2012 19:49

Here's the sixth installment of Radio Ginger.  I'm going to start making a note of who the special guests are that Ginger and Rich have in the studio.  This week it was Carmen Pie, Steve Berry (formerly of TalkSPORT radio), and a lady called Karen.  Oh, and this was pre-recorded last week.

I believe the Suicidal Tendencies song is actually called "Institutionalized." I remember when it was popular (locally, because they're a SoCal band). It's funny because the Nada Surf song "Popular" is like a more laid-back version of that song, it has the same structure, basically.

Atari Teenage Riot, now there's a band you almost NEVER hear on the radio, lol.

Oh yes, you're right, thank you! I only really know Lights, Camera, Revolution by Suicidal Tendencies. I really should check out the earlier stuff though, especially since they've been such a big influence on Paul's music.

Christ, I haven't heard Nada Surf in years!

The Guitar Wolf song is Wild Zero, which was also covered by The Wildhearts for the "We Love Guitar Wolf Very Much" covers album.
