Just resubmitted the Milton millstone article - the one that used to be a coursework paper about, oh, 3-4 COMPLETE RESTRUCTURING REVISIONS ago, way back in 2009, and has been hanging over my neck impeding progress on my dissertation ever since. WOOHOO! I am working on a paper that I am similarly sick of (although it's been through numerous grand revisions and hasn't even been submitted yet). No that's a lie. I should be working on it, but instead I'm working on the paper that I should have been done with a week ago if my coauthor had gotten it back to me. Then I will work on the other paper. Then I will eat croissant in Paris.

That's awesome! I know what you mean about unfinished work becoming a psychological complex, I get that way too, about big things and small things. (Today my back tightened up at lunch because I wasn't quite ready to come home.)
