I suppose it is beautiful - I live there and see it on an everyday basis, so I am used to it. Shall I pass your compliment regarding the cleanliness of the street on to our mayor? :-)
There are no electric lights in there and the prayer took place at 10 pm, so it was dark. We placed candles all over the church, which created a very mystical effect. The chapel is very simple furnished - just a late-gothic winged altar, which shows St. Anna. But it's the simlplicity that makes it beautiful.
Under the chapel is a crypt, which is closed with a tombstone that shows traditional bakery goods - so one can surmise that the crypt was used by members of the baker's gild.
It was customary for gilds to have their own chapel in the middleages; this chapel is the last to still be owned by a gild in Austria, which makes it very special.
