Game plan? Quickly tally up all the violations and then go shopping until the meeting.

Anemone sat at the table, legs swinging as looked at her notebook. She'd done a quick recon of the backyards in a three-block radius of the house, and was trying to find any HOA violations. "John? Can I see the section about pets pleas?"

John handed her the agreement. Phonebooks were smaller. "Here. Got it tabbed. Guess what? Somebody doesn't know how to surveeey," he said in a sing-song voice. "The developer has driveways overlapping people. Mine's good. I took care of it. Plus? This house was here first, so it's got a bigger lot and a wider driveway, so it's in the clear no matter what. And I put the privacy fence on the inside of anything, so that's good. Not so much for the neighbors." Evil grin.

"If you count Koi as pets, the person three houses down has ten animals too many." Anemone shook her head as she circled something in her notebook. "And the lady across the street has two too many cats, and an extra dog. Is there anything about lizards in here? Because someone's kid has a big icky snake."

Anemone resisted the urge to adjust the outfit John had picked out while they waited in line for the bouncer to check their IDs. Instead, she hung on his arm and looked around with a mask of bored indifference.

"I still can't believe I let you talk me into ruffles."

"I can't believe how cute you look. And hot. Very nice." He made sure his sporran was adjusted properly, wearing his greatkilt with a fishnet shirt.

A flash (Of ID) later, they were in the club. Dark. Smoky. Loud. Pretentious. Cleavagey. Vinyly. "Drinks first or dance?"

"Um, dance." Anemone looked around at the other patrons, then looked at him and grinned. "You were a very very emo child, weren't you?"

Sunday brunch and beyond apocalypsesoon September 17 2007, 05:37:11 UTC
Brunch on the town. Maybe a bit of shopping, cheesy movie night, and woe-filled goodbyes.

After finally forcing themselves out of bed, Anemone wandered into the bathroom, dragging a brush through her hair. "So what's the itinerary today? Is there food? 'Cause I'm huuuuungry."

"Pfft. Of course there's food. I live on food. I must have food. Therefore? Food. In the mood for anything in particular, my favorite skinnybutt?" John raked his hands through his hair and called it a style. He snickered at her knullruffs hairdo. "You look like you need a shower. Or a gallon of Frizz-Ease," he teased with a smile.

"I totally need a shower, and so do you." she tugged the brush through a snarl and grimaced. "Especially considering the workout we've had this morning. I call first shower!"
