Rosa Parks died, finally! I hate how everybody raves about this stupid woman, she did not impact a nation or start a political upheaval, she sat her ass on a bus and refused to move like a bitch, she was not a politician, she was a stupid activist, and activists get nothing accomplished just look at the hippies, WEED IS STILL ILLEGAL and trees

You know what? You need to get your facts straight before you go rant about a person like that.

When was the last time you heard Rosa Parks HERSELF try to take credit for anything? I know for a FACT that she's tried to keep a low profile. When my mom was starting out teaching, she wrote Rosa Parks asking her if it would be alright for the class to write letters to her. Ms. Parks wrote back and said it would be fine, but she was very polite and modest about the whole thing. It's not her fault history and news channels want to turn her into a racial hero. I recall my mom saying that her inital reply included that all she'd done was sit on a bus, she hadn't been trying to make a political statement. She was also kind enough to write all the kids back.

So if you want to rant about something, complain about news and history. That'll keep you busy enough without going after old ladies who just wanted to live and rest in peace.

I’m sorry if I offended you, sincerely I am. I didn’t mean to say anything about her personal character, I know for a fact that she is very modest about the whole thing. I’m sure she is a very nice and kind person.

I guess what really bothers me is the public image or her reputation if you will, because I don’t think she deserves it all. My opinion is based on the facts, I just interpret those facts differently, you see someone humble, and I see someone modest, maybe not necessarily modest in good ways. Again that it just my opinion, my interpretation of what I know.

I admit I was a little harsh, I was just angry that every news webpage had the story on the front page, and yeah I could just ignore them and read something else on the internet, but I enjoy reading and keeping up with current events.

I hope she died peacefully and I hope she found what she was looking for in god. I made my rant an attack on her personally and that wasn’t my intent. And I mean that.
