You should come to Utah some time. You'd be quite surprised at just how material many people are here; the locals have this thing about trying to out-do each other, and yet, they preach about having minimal worldly things. Talk about hypocritical.

As for me? Since I have no need for the latest in material items, I pride myself on living in ignorant bliss (except for a couple things, like my computer , but that's only to keep up with the times, not to surpass it.)
