This story had such a nice arc to it: from the reconnection of Lee and Kara, to the slightly awkward moments and then to the rekindled desire, to the angst (WHICH I TOTALLY APPROVE OF I MUST SAY) and then to their ultimate step forward, as a couple. It felt 'real' and mature, and far better than a one-shot quick fix. As always, your detail is lovely, and I really enjoyed how we found out more about your characters as the story progressed. (Personally, I TOTALLY could see why Gianne would be concerned. I didn't consider her a bitch, more of a concerned mother. Made sense.) By the end, however, we got to see things pulling together and Kara fitting into her place here. All in all, lovely writing. Thank you! *hugs* K :D

Thank you so much!

I liked how open Parts 1+2 left it, with at least Kara giving Lee and the idea of 'them' a shot once and for all. But for the two of them, the road could never be that simple, even with a couple years on them to mellow out. These parts were really all about Kara coming to realize how much she did want it and trying to figure out where and how she could ever fit in.

Great story, absolutely loved it!

Love how they found each other again on Galatica. The connection of their relationship even after ten years is so strong. Kara just needed to believe she is allowed some happiness and the encouragement from Bill and Gianne helped push her in the right direction.

This is my third reading of this story and definitly would enjoy reading more.

Thank you so much for reading (three times!!)

She definitely needed a few reminders about things because she's so used to letting the events of her past trump everything else.

Your thoughts on Kara are spot on. I really could not have described it better. Carolanne got sort of the evil-horrible-lady treatment and I felt bad about it, but the story wasn't so much about other people as it was about Kara and Lee, so it got left without some kind of resolution (though I definitely imagined one in the future for them anyway--or at least a way for them all to learn to cope). Thank you for reading! I'm happy you enjoyed it!

I love the continuation of this. This whole verse is just so lovely and warm, I want to be their wacky next door neighbor. You handled Kara so beautifully- of course she would freak out as soon as someone voiced all the things she'd been thinking. Carolanne as the villain was perfect. My heart broke for both Kara and Lee but it seemed necessary. Kara had to realize she deserved to be there, and that she wanted to be, and that she was already a part of the family. And when she did - it was beautiful. Loved the approving nudges from Adama and Gianne. I hope we see another snippet from this world!

Kara has grown very much in the years between the decommissioning and this story, but she's still sort of the same girl at heart. Carolanne rattles her, since it's a familiar feeling she's heard from her mother and subsequently from herself. BUT, she's also grown enough to be able to to not see things so black and white and to see herself as deserving, finally. Maybe she'll always hear Socrata, but with some time and work, she can think for herself too. Thank you so much for reading!
