Oh man. Here I was about to get all weepy and depressed and then you brought her back! Only really this time. It hardly needs saying, but I could have lived with this in canon.

I could have lived with and been so happy with an ending like this in canon, as well! I am perpetually going to be trying to fix life for these two.

Saudade is one of my favorite words as well. What a beautiful story. I wasn't expecting the hopeful ending and was very pleasantly surprised. You did cause a single tear first though...

I wanted to keep it as close to canon as possible while presenting it from a different angle, but when it came to the end... I thought it would be very in character for the the post-Maelstrom Kara (whatever she was) to want to try to correct things if she could. Thank you so much for reading and commenting!
