Okay - I have to admit that I kept getting to the end of each chapter and saying "I need to comment... BUT OMG I CAN'T STOP READING!" So much to love in these chapters. The story of Dreilide and Socrata continues to intrigue me. Lee's unconditional love. Sam's genuine acceptance and sacrifice. Bill's acceptance of Kara. Wonderful connections and real life GROWN UP behaving Kara and Lee, working together rather than apart. I'm sure you know this, but your twist is solving so many of the issues that the lack of 'choice' had for me in canon. I love who Kara becomes with the support of those around her. This story is a great example of that! :D
