well i personally loved it. I was losing my shit when i thought you'd killed Lee and i was all like "are you kidding me?" but nice surprise by having him remember the notes to the song to get to earth.

It was a very involved and yet creative story and i'm thrilled that you wrote it.

I would love more personally.

:)))

I honestly had no intentions of doing that with Lee and when I was writing the scene I was like oh gods... it's perfect. I MUST.

Thanks for reading!

Lovely ending to a lovely story! Very nice dramatic twist there with Lee seemingly dying and remembering the coordinates she taught him. ;)

I'll look forward to reading more fic from you!

A lot of details I had planned from the start of the story or at least a few chapters ahead. The thing with Lee was totally done on the fly, but I'm happy with how it worked out. Thanks for reading and all the comments!

This was a great story. i loved the twist that Kara's father was one of another group of survivors like the Final Five and the fake out with Lee's death in the end was fabulous. I skipped to the very eend to make sure he lived in fact. ;)

Great job and you should definitely write more!

As I was writing, I was thinking 'Man so many people are going to kill me for the Lee-supposedly-dying twist.' I'm all for those painful memorable endings, but I'm not writing for TV, so they get the happy ending here.

Thanks! And I'll probably be starting some smaller stuff or participating in some of the things the communities have going on now that my brain can stop thinking about this.

Oddly, I was almost ok with Lee being dead (although I had a hunch he was fine) because it was a satisfying story either way. But I don't mind a more tragic ending so long as it's satisfying and well played.

If you feel like writing something shorter here's a low stress option the_applecart 003 :D

I'll definitely be joining in over there, but first I need to work up the courage. I've been playing catch up this evening reading some of the things there and other new Kara/Lee fic since I pretty much shunned everything for the last few weeks. So much good stuff I missed!

That was excellent!! A 194,000 word fic is quite the accomplishment, especially if it's your first try. I loved the openness of the ending, how it lets you imagine Lee and Kara wherever you want them when they get to Earth.

Fabulous job. I'd love to see more from you!

Sometimes I love open endings and sometimes I hate them, because I just want to know for sure that everything worked out happily ever after in the end. I may work on a short sequel in the future that explores some things going down on the planet, but for now everyone is free to imagine it however they want ;)

This has been a really wonderful story! I can't believe it's the first thing you've ever written. Marvelously well done. I'm ashamed to say that, though I've been reading for a week or so now, I haven't commented yet--except on FFN under the name Serrafina--but that's just because I've been all kinds of lazy recently. Anyway, it was really really awesome; I loved everything about it. I look forward to whatever your produce next!

Thanks for reading, I remember reading your comment on FFN. The commenting on there is so awkward compared to here so I don't write many replies on FFN (never sure if anyone will ever return to actually see it!). Regarding what you said on FFN, I'm really glad I was able to make people feel for Dreilide/Socrata and their relationship. I'm not sure if other writers have written much about them. I've read a ton of BSG fic and haven't seen it, so I thought it would be really interesting to explore!

Well, you did a really great job! I've read some fics that have very nuanced portrayals of Socrata (I'd recommend Hellfire and kag's latest offering, Chain Reaction, off the top of my head) and others that have nice glimpses into Kara and Dreilide reuniting, but very few that actually explore the relationship between Socrata and Dreilide. In fact, the only one I can think of right now is The Still Hour.
