ROAD TRIP and other career moves :-D

This is a very long entry so
Busy past few days, but so refreshing. First off, let me start with Henricus. Great news on their front. I talked to Jill (Education Coordinator) about my situation and they were completely understanding. Good news is that they want to have an interpreter in place by September and will continue to keep me appraised of their situation so Henricus is a definete maybe on where I can work. :-D

Ashley (the other interpreter at Chippokes) really has this crush on the interpreter at New River Trail S.P. He and I really hit it off at training so we were both interested in seeing him. So we got in touch with him and went out to the park. He gave us the nickel-dime tour. It is the 11th Virginia State Park I have been to. He also let us crash at his place so that was nice that we didn't have to pound the pavement to get back. It was so refreshing to visit the mountains. They seem to give me a spiritual and energy renewal.

We slog back to CPSP through the rain and get back about 5 pm yesterday. I decided to check my email at the park office and ran into the Park Manager. First thing she said was "11:30 on Monday." I was very confused. She replied that that was when my interview for the Chief Ranger position was to take place. I sorta had plans, but I'm sure the guys will work with me. This is very important to me and although I love King's Dominion, if it means not going to get a real full time job, then so be it. I have to worry about the future and college loans. Yeah. So that's been the last few days. :-D
