Sad News

Just received some very sad news. A good friend is in hospital and it appears she is having a miscarriage.

It was to be her first child and she and her partner were thrilled that they were going to be parents. My thoughts are with them both.

They are our best friends in NZ (she is a work colleague of my partner). I'm surprisingly upset - I've been practically useless at work since I heard the news.

Oh, i'm so sorry for your friend and her partner, and for you and yours. it seems that you are very aware that the loss is truly a significant one. your validation, via your grief, will be consoling to your friends, i'm sure, even if you just cry on the phone with them..
