Spent the weekend visiting my partner's mother in hospital in Hamilton. She is being very well looked after there and she brightened up considerably while we were visiting. She's very shaky still and somewhat forgetful but there's been no recurrence of the delirium, thank God ( Read more... )

Wow..stressful....hopefully you can find a place where she can have her dog. funny ..I was going to say that maybe the cats will get used to Sammy, but hahaha..sounds like they have, somewhat.
Best of luck with this situation..sounds difficult.

Just living day-to-day at the moment. I'm also trying to get as much rest as possible since we'll be going back to Hamilton next weekend, and don't know what will be required of me.

This may be an INFJ thing, but I find hospitals particularly draining. Several times last weekend I noticed my energy was actually being sucked out of my body and had to put up some psychic shields to protect myself!

Is it an empath thing with the hospitals? Sounds extra hard because you are also being a support to your partner through this.As an INFJ I tend to take everything in---heart/psyche wide open...
I get a sense you have all the tools you need to take care of yourself.* Hang in there with the rest and the shields...You'll get through it :-)
