Still at home recovering from my accident. My knee is slowly getting better. Last Friday I got fitted with a modern, high-tech brace which allows the knee to bend, while still supporting the damaged ligaments. So now it looks and feels like I’ve got a bionic leg

Can I ask you some questions about New Zealand (I think i remember you saying you lived over there a while ago...) We are thinking of moving over there and I know NO-ONE who can answer some fact finding queries....

Thanks so much! I should begin by saying neither my husband or I have been to NZ but have heard fantastic things about it! its likely he is going to be studying in Lincoln, outside Christchurch for 2 years. I have heard South Island is not as 'happening' as the North... Have you been down there?

How have you found the kiwi people? Friendly?
What do you think about the difference in cost of living between UK and NZ (we need to think about how we are going to survive if he is studying for another 2 years...:-)) Are you renting and what do you think about property prices - I suppose its quite different in Auckland. Is Auckland as nice as everyone says? There are so many things I would like to know from an insider, but I don't want to overwhelm you :-)
