I watched the first part of a great mini-series "Flood" on TV last night. It was about what would happen to London if a severe storm surge, combined with a high tide, overwhelmed the Thames barrier and flooded Central London

I often dream of tidal waves as well... perhaps it's an INFJ thing, and even more fitting since you surmised that Tolkien was an INFJ himself.

Hmmm.... the ocean is meant to represent the deep unconscious in dream symbolism. Therefore a tidal wave could suggest a danger or fear of being overwhelmed by the unconscious mind.

It's natural that Introverted Intuitive types might face this danger, since we are forever poking around in our own (and other people's!) unconscious minds. What do you think?

An intriguing coincidence! I love experiencing synchronicity; the feelings I get when it happens are hard to express, and understanding what the connections mean can be elusive (at best). Follow the signs, to reach the conclusion.... What I love the most about synchronous events are how highly personal they are!
