I have decided to try doing something new: updating my journal. This proved rather uninteresting in the past, so I will try a different approach. I think it's great. I was really impressed once when I walked into a bathroom, and the lights turned on automatically, and the toilet flushed automatically, the sink turned on automatically, and when I left the lights again turned off. It might seem kind of pointless, but I'll bet it means that fewer germs are spread around. Of course, it's occassionally pleasant to "get away from it all" and I think that option will always be available.

I think that sort of thing is great too. What I was really thinking about though, would be more than just convenient (and possible sanitarily beneficial) additions. For example, the ability to more easily search for and record information wherever you are. Say you are out on a walk, and want to record some ideas about an invention you thought up. What if you want to check a few facts quickly, jot down some notes, and maybe a diagram? Having a pen and paper could work partially, but what if you could search the internet on an unobtrsive headset with a small display and record your notes by speaking? That's the sort of thing I mean.

And even a lot more advanced than that. Say for example a room that adjusted its temperature after determining by reading your body language that you were hot? And the list goes on.
