I finally finished a basic layout that I am pleased with for my website, so its main components are now accessible from http://www.immortalcuriosity.com/.
I don't have a whole lot of content yet, as the layout itself took some doing. I do have my junior and senior essays up, however, as well as a few links to demonstrate the sections. I will be ( Read more... )

Do as you will. But seriously, all the formatting will be off in IE. I have already checked it. IE does not know how to handle XHTML properly. You might not have seen this clearly if you just went to the main page. Try going into the Writings section and open one of the essays and you will see what I mean.

Oh, I saw. But making your page look pretty by switching to another browser isn't on my list of priorities. I can see the content either way.

You are one for strangely pointless replies, aren't you? But still: what is a "419 lad" exactly? Also, I am the moderator of any posts to the guestbook, so I decide whether they get published or not, if you were referring to some sort of spamming thing.

I looked it up, as I should have before. So "419" refers to the section of Nigerian Criminal Code that Nigerian online scammers violate, etc. Which you would know about, since you are presently obsessed with them ;-) But now that I know what they are, I still don't understand your comment. Why would a guestbook be of assistance to such a scammer?

They harvest email addresses from guestbooks--this is one of the biggest sources of potential victims. Do a goggle search for "Guestbook + Guyman". You will find thousands upon thousands of guestbooks tagged by lads as if they were dogs tagging fire hydrants. They will say something like" "I dey land here ooooooooooooo guyman keep offooooooooooo mugu@guyman.com"

THis means that they have assembled the variosu email addresses contained in that address book, and that soon, all of those people whose email is posted will win lotteries, be offered once in a lifetime business opportunities, be offered cell phones at amazingly low prices, et cetera.

So, I recceomend that if you have a guestbook, you make sure that the email addresses of the posters are kept private.

I sign guestbooks all the time with my baiting email address, and today, (sunday) I got over 100 emails from scammers. Little do they know....
