But dude, the skinny fox makes him look like he's hungry, which makes him look cuter. Is that a sunflower he's holding? I love how well the fur came out! How'd you get it to look so smooth so that your fur marks came out so distinctive?
want? mmm, anything you don't want. Hehe I feel guilty cuz everything I'm doing in pottery sucks so much I bet it'd be insulting to give it away. Are you going to glaze the fox?
Haha, you know me. That one's too small to be a sunflower, though...I thought it would fall over if it was much bigger. Wow, I can't even see the fur in the photo - you must have good eyes. It really doesn't look very good. I used a mechanical pencil to scrape out the fur lines (my tools kinda...suck), smoothed them out a bit, then came back like a day after the clay dried to scrape out more.
I don't think it'd be insulting! I suck much that I can't even do a pot yet (lol, I'll try again next term). We should do an art trade! ;p I can't glaze anything for a couple weeks, though, since ceramics is over for the term and I can't go back until the next class starts.
Hehe, it's a toy sunflower. Totally works. Mmm, that's a good idea, w/ the mech pencil... I tried designing my pots with the needle tool but it always makes the lines look crumbly and unsmooth. I actually heard from my metal casting class that it's fun to make wax designs and imprint them onto the clay... the wax burns really well during firing...
Mm, ok we'll do an art trade! but yeah, glazing is something that is a slow and painful process... you have to think it out so carefully...
