Facebook

Now everyone has Facebook, and everyone is friends on Facebook, and there's a ton more drama on Facebook than there ever was on LJ. There was a LOT of drama on LJ. The novelty of Facebook has worn off. One of the things I liked about FB was that people commented, so you know someone at least read your thoughts. Now it's kind of nice to fly under ( Read more... )

And it is so nice to see you posting here again too! There is something totally un-fulfilling about FB. I have not been able to journal over there. I keep more bottled up there than I ever did here. I was going slightly insane. I think it is because so many "normal" everyday people were a part of FB. Complaints about work were shared on LJ, not FB. FB could be found by anyone, whereas my journal, is still slightly more hidden - or at least locked depending on the settings of the post.

I started coming back here regularly in February. I'm starting to see more and more people coming back. We are all saying the same thing. I still have my FB and I still post to it (cindy williams hipps if I don't have you friended there, but I think I do). However, LJ has my soul within it's pages. blood, sweat, tears, etc have gone into my LJ. FB has too many people that I went to school with that I wouldn't have talked about that stuff with anyway.

*hugs* I'm loving posting more. I even found games here on LJ and have made a few new friends from adding game people, but I'm not going overboard on adding people. Just enough for the max presents. I have about 27 playing the one game...so that is good. Some of them I am starting to keep up with and get to know, others they are just gonna be game people.

I am much more diligent here as well. I think it is because this is where half of us met, and we truly have gotten to know each other through meetings/parties/journals. It isn't just random pictures. Yeah, those are fun, but here we have poured ourselves into it. I'm just too personal for a lot of what I have posted here to be so public on FB.

o/

I'm on FB but don't really read or post regularly. Ok, so I don't post terribly often here either, but I do at least read LJ on a regular basis. :p

How've you been?
