I am whole again...

Just picked up a brand-spankin'-new Leatherman Wave.

This marks the 5th of these I have owned, the previous 4 having been lost either to catastrophic failure from being used too hard for the wrong task or from outright theft.

Here's hoping this one lasts through the end of this year. =)

Oh phew. I thought I was the only one who'd messed up a leatherman.

The eyeglass screwdriver broke, and so did a little chunk off the locking mechanism for the saw, now the saw is all floppy. *sigh* I love that thing, though. Best Christmas present I've had in years.

I do have the claim to fame of being the guy who slagged his to pot metal from accidentally using it as a welding heat sink, though. Not very useful after that one.
