Oh, poor parents. They're innocent of the way Harry was treated by the Dursleys. That's so heartbreaking for parents who loved their son as much as they did.

And you write it so well. Very matter-of-fact but it rings really true. Keep writing! :)

I'm glad you liked this. I've often wondered why Harry hasn't come across his parents in a portrait somewhere, if there is one of them of course! Poor Harry.

Oh my goodness that was so incredibly sad. Just the fact that James and Lily are waiting for him to appear near the Mirror of Erised really got me. I think that is one of the more touching parts of the book, to see how much he really misses his parents, and you've captured their POV well.

Imagine if they are there, but always a floor, or a corridor, or even a painting too far ahead, or behind him. All this time and they've never actually caught up to see him!
