The blame largely lines on the hands of Captain Canuck, I think. He took way too many poor shots, took STUPID penalties and was made to pay. The big thing that sticks out in my mind is in the second and third period, there were some passes made to Naslund that would have put him in two on one - even three on one situations, but he didn't have his stick on the ice and was too lazy to receive the pass properly. He took shots so hard, high, and wide on the powerplay that I don't know what was going through his head. The captain certainly wasn't leading by example, and I've found he's been lazy all this series. He needs to create a few chances, not let them come to him. That's Bert's job :D

They need to take a page out of the Ducks and Wild's book - PUT THE SHOTS ON THE NET. Vancouver misses more shots that any team I've watched this year. If they would use their physical advantage down low and punish Gaborik (like they did a few times) whenever he gets remotely close to the boards, then it will be a much better game for us.

I very much agree with you. Naslund hasn't been totally sharp the entire post season. It seems like the whole first line is still scared about the playoffs. It's true that there are times where they played alright games..but overall, their performance is very inconsistent. I guess the nux are still a young team, when pushed by home-crowd pressure at important games..they freak. look at cloutier last nite. He was so careless. Look at jovanovski and the rest of the dmen. They were all still sleeping or playing golf, they weren't doin their jobs. the forecheecking was sloppy, they didn't help take down the men in front of the net. they did jack crap ( ... )

I think if anyone is equipped to take care of J.S., it's the Cancucks - it's proven throwing the puck against him doesn't work - sniping at him doesn't work - he has such great body position and timing, along with some of the most incredible luck/skill that has been displayed in recent memory...

... what has worked, and won for Dallas, is GETTING physical with them. They have to hit the Ducks, just like they have to hit the Wild.
