Week 1 Softball
1st at bat reached on an error. 2nd at bat fouled out. Final Score - 3-18 game called in the 5th due to Mercy Rule. So we're 0-1 and I lightly twisted my right ankle. Should be a fun day tomorrow. :-) G'night! -
The waters went back down the river... :-)
Good news. The waters in my area have been receding since Monday afternoon. There is a lot of dirty brown grass everywhere and the water is still high in neighboring areas, but where I am is no longer in any danger. Still it was a very thought provoking few days since Saturday. Well, I'm exhausted from running around the last few days! G'night -
Tornados and Lightning and Flooding Oh My!!!
I just spent the last 2 hours bailing water from into front of my apartment door and the nearest drains due to the torrential thunderstorms that hit Salina a bit before midnight. Besides the fact that we got approx. 3-1/2 inches of rain in less than an hour, and that I live in a basement apartment with a concrete handicap walkway that acts as a ( Read more... ) -

Found out about the shootings at VT while I was at the YMCA. So sad... and I'm wondering why more wasn't done. Also, why did this man do what he did?
