Yes. Because of blogging I can see news taking on more of a "grass roots" feel. I remember several years ago hearing where Peter Jennings would be eye blogs to see what's out there, however his newscasts seemed to have journalistic integrity. However, the ONLY thing I can think of with regards to FOX news, they MUST get their news from blogs only, else they REALLY are bad! (trying to throw them a bone here) But it does seem as if news agencies are being squeezed tighter and tighter, thus people having to pull their news from blogs and press releases. One of the reasons I like Keith Olberman and Rachel Madow is, despite how left they may be, I appreciate the fact that they seem to respect the term "accuracy".

There was an interesting (and opposite) take on this the other day, when AP announced they'd be going after bloggers who use their news content. Online sites like Huffington Post license the news content from AP, but many bloggers simply incorporate that content directly into their blogs without crediting AP or paying any license fee.

As the media scramble to find a profit in the Internet, it will be interesting to see who actually wins...
