Choices, oh the choices

I have come down to three choices; Thailand, Vietnam or Cambodia.
Thailand: Seems like the easy deal. Well beaten path and probably very good for a first time solo-traveler like myself. Cheap.
Vietnam: Less tourism. Halong Bay. Cheaper.
Cambodia: Little tourism. Angkor Wat. Cheapest.

I'd go for Angkor Wat!
I haven't been in any of the three countries, but my oldest sister has been in Cambodia and Thailand and she says that Angkor Wat was one of the most amazing things she's ever seen.

Yes, Ankor Wat looks amazing and I really want to go there but I'm a female solo-traveler, and I've heard Cambodia isn't the safest place to travel if you are on your own.
Did your sister go on her own or did she have company?

She went to Asia (backpacking) twice, first time was with her girlfriend, so 2 girls, second time was on her own.
I can't remember which time she visited Cambodia though...
I know she did Thailand both times though (alone and with company).

Common sense is a good thing. I wouldn't walk down a dark alley in the middle of the night in Norway, so I wouldn't do it in Thailand either!
